Working Together, Step by Step

Starting coaching can feel both hopeful and uncertain.

You may be wondering:

  • What actually happens in coaching sessions?
  • What will be expected of me?
  • Will this feel supportive or overwhelming?

This page is here to answer those questions — clearly and honestly.

Before We Begin

The first step is a short, no-cost introductory conversation.

This is not a sales call and there’s no pressure to commit.

It’s simply a chance for us to:

• talk through what’s currently going on for you

• explore what you’re hoping to change or improve

• discuss the different ways we might work together

• see whether this style of coaching feels like a good fit

Following this conversation, you may decide to book a Behaviour Clarity Session or explore the 12-Week Coaching Journey.

If it doesn’t feel right, that’s okay.

Good coaching starts with alignment.

What Coaching Sessions Are Like

Coaching sessions are one-to-one conversations via phone.

They’re calm, focused, and collaborative — not rushed or confrontational.

In sessions, you can expect:

  • space to talk things through without judgement
  • thoughtful questions that help clarify what’s really going on
  • support to make sense of patterns, not just symptoms
  • support to identify realistic next steps

You won’t be told what to do.

Instead, we work together to find approaches that fit you.

The Structure of the Coaching Journey

Coaching is offered as a structured 12-week journey designed to help change become realistic, sustainable, and easier to maintain. This timeframe allows space for awareness, experimentation, and sustainable change to develop without rushing the process.

Each week typically includes:

  • a focused coaching call
  • one main area of focus
  • simple reflection or experimentation between sessions

The structure is there to support you — not to box you in.

We move at a pace that’s realistic and responsive to your life.

What Happens Between Sessions

Between sessions, you may be invited to:

  • complete a short reflection or worksheet
  • observe patterns in your day-to-day life
  • experiment gently with a small habit or change

This is never about “homework for homework’s sake”.

Everything between sessions is designed to:

  • build awareness
  • support learning through experience
  • and make sessions more meaningful

If something feels like too much, we adjust.

What’s Expected of You

You don’t need:

  • perfect motivation
  • constant discipline
  • or a clear plan before starting

What does matter is:

  • a genuine desire for something to be better or different
  • willingness to reflect honestly
  • openness to experimenting with small changes

Progress comes from engagement, not perfection.

What You Can Expect From Me

As your coach, you can expect me to:

  • listen carefully and without judgement
  • ask questions that help you think more clearly
  • support you when things feel uncertain or stuck
  • help you stay aligned with what matters to you
  • respect your autonomy and capacity

My role is not to fix you.

It's to help you build understanding, confidence, and self-trust.

If Life Gets Busy or Things Don’t Go to Plan

This is expected — not a failure.

Part of the coaching process is learning how to:

  • respond calmly when routines slip
  • adjust without abandoning progress
  • and stay connected to your intentions during challenging periods

We plan for real life, not ideal conditions.

By the End of the Coaching Journey

This program is designed to support you to finish with:

  • a clearer understanding of what supports your wellbeing
  • habits that feel more natural and sustainable
  • less reliance on willpower or self-criticism
  • greater confidence in your ability to adapt when life changes

Outcomes will look different for each person.

The focus is not on achieving a specific result, but on building understanding, skills,

and self-trust that can be carried forward beyond coaching.

Is Coaching Right for You?

This approach tends to work best for people who are ready to engage honestly, explore what's getting in the way, and experiment with sustainable change.

You don't need to have everything figured out.

You simply need a willingness to begin.

If you’re unsure, that’s okay — the introductory conversation exists for exactly that reason.

The Next Step

If this feels aligned, the next step is a short, no-pressure introductory conversation.

It’s simply a place to start the conversation.
